Please tell us a bit about yourself... Who you are, what you do
I am a homeopath, naturopath, translator, editor, designer, wife and mother to two little girls and a whole menagerie of demanding animals.
What challenges were you facing in your life/work and relationship with yourself before working with Hannah?
I came across Hannah, quite by chance, at a festival in Cornwall last summer. I had been feeling really stuck in my life for some time and was searching for something or someone to help me move beyond this. I was permanently insanely busy, running around non-stop, juggling young children, two self-employed professions, a country cottage and animals, with a husband who worked the other side of the world during the week. All on my own and without any real awareness that this was actually quite a lot to handle! With all this going on, I had become very bad at looking after my own needs and respecting my own boundaries. And this was impacting my work, my energy, mood and my family life.
What did you hope that the healing and coaching programme would help with?
I was feeling so drained and exhausted, trapped and fearful. I no longer felt at all like me and didn’t have the energy to change things. I felt strongly that my mind and body needed some kind of new input, some form of healing I hadn’t come across before. As the mother of young children, it is so easy to lose yourself and your identity. It felt time to return to being me – I just didn’t know how.
Tell us about your journey, how has taking part in the programme helped you?
I committed to a 3-month programme with Hannah, which felt like a crazy thing to do at the time. Looking back, the great thing about this level of support is that you really have the time and space to gradually delve deeper, reaching unresolved issues that I had been unaware of or forgotten about. Beliefs from childhood, patterns of behaviour that were no longer serving me. It’s a process of unravelling and not one that can be done in one or two sessions – although saying that, some of the sessions really did move things along fast!
What are some of your insights and transformations?
The main effect of the work with Hannah has been to return me to feeling more authentically me, able to manage my life and the challenges that life inevitably throws at you, without fear and without replaying old, worn-out patterns. It has allowed me to stop responding to triggers in the same old way and has given me the space and freedom to make proper choices – with a lot more grace and lightness. I now know what I want rather than dithering between a multitude of possibilities – and not having the energy to pursue any of them! This has been invaluable in my life, and in my practice, allowing me to help others much more effectively.
What has the outcome been, how do you feel about yourself and your life now and will anything be different in the next chapter of your life as a result of doing this work?
Well, I’m moving countries for a while, which is quite a big thing, and taking time out to reassess how I want to continue with my work, and to learn a new healing modality to add into the mix. The process has allowed me to be a lot clearer about what serves me and my family, including the choice about what I allow into my life and what I can simply say no to. One key difference is a lightness and happiness that comes with the work with Hannah. She is such a cheerful, un-judgmental soul and that is definitely contagious!
Can you describe the experience of working with Hannah, what did you appreciate?
I loved the way in which nothing I could possibly say or do could surprise her. I am quite used to being the outsider and it was lovely to find that Hannah is no stranger to feeling the odd one out. With what I do and the way I lead my life, it is easy to feel lonely, but Hannah’s perspective and the work we did together brought me back into balance.
Her work is an interesting combination of energetic healing and down-to-earth coaching – the combination is quite unique and really powerful. The energy work causes subtle shifts in places I have been unable to access with other alternative therapy forms, while the coaching is a very open process in which you can voice your feelings, thoughts, fears and get practical, hands-on tools for changing negative patterns.
Would you recommend this work to a friend?
Certainly. You just have to be open-minded enough to give it a go. If you’ve come this far, it’s probably the right thing for you!
Anything else that you would like to say?
Hannah is fabulous. You won’t regret working with her.
